OUTSTANDING businesses and their leaders who have thrived during the past year are being invited to enter the North West Business Masters, the new business awards scheme launched by TheBusinessDesk.com which celebrates talent, innovation and achievement.

As well as rewarding company success, the awards will highlight all that is good about business in the North West, including the personalities who have made a real difference to the region’s economy.

The North West Business Masters havs already attracted leading business advisers KPMG as a main sponsor.

The awards also aim to be more relevant than any other event in the established calendar by bringing together key players to facilitate and celebrate business on the day.

The North West Business Masters awards lunch will take place at The Point at Lancashire County Cricket Club on February 17 next year.

All six categories are open to individuals or businesses based in the North West.

•North West Pride: Most meaningful philanthropic initiative by a business, organisation or leader
•North West Innovator: Most creative or original business thinking
•North West Ambassador: Greatest contribution to business in the North West

Tickets for the North West Business Masters, are available for £250 per pair plus VAT. The event will start with a champagne reception, followed by a three course lunch with fine wine.

Nominations for all five categories are open from today and the deadline for entries is January 6 2011.

An independent panel of respected business experts will filter the nominations and a shortlist for each award will be announced at the end of January, with the final votes for each award being cast by the readers of TheBusinessDesk.com.
