Speedy’s £6m contract fillip

NORTH West tool and equipment hire giant Speedy Hire has signed a £6m exclusive deal with Southern Electric Contracting.

Speedy, which is based in Newton-le-Willows, will provide a range of tools and equipment including generators, site accommodation and powered access to the mechanical and enginerring contractor.

Richard Moores, group purchasing manager at Southern Electric Contracting said: “We have been working with Speedy for over five years and have been impressed with its national coverage, commitment to health and safety, product range and availability.

“This agreement will provide our sites with consistent high standards in equipment supply.”

“This strategic partnering agreement underlines our plans to further expand beyond our traditional construction customer base.”

Southern Electric Contracting, is part of the Scottish and Southern Energy Group. The company operates from 65 local offices nationwide and has a turnover of over £306m.
