Marcus Worthington gets go-ahead for student block

PRESTON-based Marcus Worthington Properties has secured planning permission for a £22m student block in south Manchester.
The 416-bedroom block, will be based at Moss Lane East, close to Wilmslow Road in Rusholme.
The site is occupied by a derelict car park and disused manufacturing buildings.
Russ Worthington, development director at Marcus Worthington’s said: “We’re delighted to have gained permission and we hope to start on site early in the New Year. Without the help and support of Manchester City Council and local ward members, this scheme would not have been possible and would have continued to be an underutilised area.”
Property consultants Drivers Jonas Deloitte handled the planning application for Marcus Worthington.
