Event organiser TLC toasts sales hike

EVENT organiser Taylor Lynn Corporation said today it would break the £4m turnover barrier this year after a 25% hike in sales.

The Manchester company said that while corporate bookings had dipped last year, orders had picked up this year.

The real growth area came from the company’s  private events business – which organises weddings for footballers such as Manchester United’s Gary Neville and showbiz parties.

Managing director, Liz Taylor, said:: “Because of the difficult trading conditions in the last year, I am particularly thrilled that TLC has been able to buck the downturn and sustain its growth once again.

“The results primarily have come from a continued growth in the number of private events that we organize, the result of many years work to grow our reputation and brand awareness as one of the UK’s the leading wedding and social event planners, but also from being able to retain a large portion of our corporate work.

“This has only been possible by developing creative new ideas for events that can work within the changing client objectives, and of course, evolving budgets.”

The company, which has 25 staff,  has recently invested £650 000 in a new HQ and showroom in Manchester. Last year  Liz Taylor also bought-out business partner Dianne Lynn.

Among TLC’s corporate clients are UEFA, ITV Granada and Manchester United, with new business events recently secured for The Lowry Hotel, Everton Football Club, and Deloitte.
