Pau Brasil opens second restaurant

TRADITIONAL Brazilian steakhouse Pau Brasil has expanded with a new restaurant on Deansgate in Manchester.
The restaurant, which first opened on Lever Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has signed a 15-year lease for 8,000 sq ft on the first floor of 118-124 Deansgate.
The building, restored by Town Centre Securities’ for £3m, already has Staples and Cotswolds Outdoor as tenants.
Richard Lewis, property director for Town Centre Securities, said: “We had always earmarked the second floor as an ideal option for a restaurant operator and are subsequently confident that Pau Brasil can make good use of the building’s location and footfall.”
The investment and development company acquired the Grade II-listed, four storey building in 1997, which comprises19,500 sq ft with prime retail space, restaurant and with an additional potential for 14 luxury apartments for sale or lease.
