Latitude founder goes in shake-up

AWARD-winning entrepreneur Dylan Thwaites, founder and chairman of Latitude, the North West based search engine optimisation group, has left the business it emerged today.

His departure comes just  14 months after private equity firm Vitruvian took a ‘sizeable’ stake in the Warrington and London-based company, which valued the firm at around £55m.

Latitude, which last year reduced its workforce by 10% to 100, also revealed a new management structure, which also involves the departure of chief technology officer Rob Shaw and agency director Judy Dewsbury.

Mr Thwaites, who was on holiday when the news broke, said he had been aware of the planned restructuring, but declined to comment further at present.

He was replaced as chief executive in July last year by  Alex Hoye, co-founder and CEO of  GoIndustry.com.

Latitude, which has 60 staff in Warrington, reported turnover of £36.9m last year,
