Heatons fashions retail rescue

MANCHESTER law firm Heatons played a key role in the rescue of fashion chains Oasis, Coast, Karen Millen and Warehouse from administration.
Led by managing partner Matt Fleetwod, the Heatons team comprised of corporate partners Mary Erb and Jim Truscott, corporate lawyers Anoushka Nanji and Lisa Bridgwood, property partner Nick Trowell, property lawyers Rima Gasperas and Simon Baxter, and commercial partner Pauline Cowie.
The four chains were formerly owned by Mosaic, which went into administration yesterday. They were sold in a pre-pack deal worth £210m to a new company, Aurora Fashion Holdings.
Heatons has acted for Mosaic since 2003, when the company was one of the largest ladies fashion retailers on the high street, with more than 2,000 stores and concessions and a turnover of £1bn.
