POE wins airport refurb deals

MAG Developments – the property and development arm of the Manchester Airports Group – has awarded contracts worth a combined £263,000 for refurbs at four of its buildings to Sale-based fitout contractor Preferred Office Environments (POE).

POE will be refurbishing first floor common areas at Olympic House, plus two lobbies and two suites at the Voyager office building. POE will also be responsible for stripping out three floors at Voyager and looking after both external and internal decoration work on two buildings at Manchester Airport’s World Freight Terminal.

Project manager Andy Plastow said: “Over the last 12 months, MAG Developments has let a considerable amount of space at Manchester Airport. We are looking forward to working with MAG Developments to deliver this refurbishment work, which will ensure that new and existing customers are provided with a very high standard of accommodation.”

Stephanie Mullenger, business development director for MAG Developments, said: “As a customer-focused business, we are pleased to announce that Preferred Office Environments will be undertaking these works on our properties as it has a proven track record of working well with customers across the airport site.”

Work has already started on site and is expected to be completed within six to eight weeks.
