Opal snaps up supplier

OPAL Telecom has agreed a cash deal for a Kent-based telecommunications business.
Opal will pay £752,360 for the business and assets of The Airtime Group (TAG), a subsidiary of the quoted Canisp group.
In a brief statement the company said the deal, which is subject to shareholder approval, should complete on April 1.
Opal, a subsidiary of the Carphone Warehouse, has its head office in Manchester and divisions in Warrington, London and the West Midlands.
Maidstone-based TAG, which provides fixed line phone services, is already a supplier to Opal which sells phone services to business and the public sector.
