Cumbrian caravan park acquired for £2.5m

A Peterborough holiday business has acquired a caravan park in Cumbria for £2.5m.
Lifestyle Living Group, which specialises in holiday and residential homes, has bought the 12-acre Silecroft Caravan Park, near Millom.
Silecroft has 151 holiday homes, a swimming pool and a social area. Lifestyle already owns a residential park in Nethertown.
Chief executive Peter Andreou said: “We were attracted to Silecroft as it is situated in arguably one of the most picturesque areas of the country, yet is close to essential amenities. The former owners, Ann and Andrew Vaughan, have decided to move on and we now have a beautiful holiday park in which to invest to further improve the exceptional holiday experience that Ann and Andrew have built over the years.
“As we already operate in Cumbria, we understand the unique pull of the area and are also considering further expanding our holiday homes portfolio in this region.”
The acquisition is the first since Lifestyle announced plans to double in size over the next twelve months. In the past year the group has acquired Haveringland Hall Country Park and Redhill Country Park in Norfolk, Yorkshire Dales Park in Leyburn and Little Haven Caravan Park, The Willows Caravan Park and The White Horse Caravan Park in Lincolnshire.
The Silecroft deal was advised on by Hallows Associates and Grant Thornton.
