Mere sweet on Skinny Candy

NORTH West PR firm Mere has got a new account to sink its teeth into.
Mere, based in Hale, Greater Manchester, has been appointed to handle the trade and consumer public relations for the launch of a new range of 99 calorie confectionery known as Skinny Candy.
Skinny Candy is a 50-50 venture owned by Coffee Republic founder Sahar Hashemi and AIM-listed sweet manufacturer Glisten. Skinny Candy is a fun range of sweet treats that have been developed with a ‘no compromise’ approach to taste but with only 99 calories per portion.
The range comprises five products; two real Belgian chocolate items, the ‘Chocstick’ and ‘Chocmaltie’, and three portion sized bags of treats.
Mere PR will be working with the Skinny Candy team and Hashemi to raise the profile of the new product with trade audiences and ABC1 female consumers between the ages of 20 and 45.
Group marketing director for Glisten, Dave Coulson, commented: “We have been delighted with the coverage generated by Mere PR for previous new product launches and are looking forward to working with them on this latest initiative.”
Victoria Moore, Mere PR director said:: “This could be a contender for the best project ever and we look forward to getting started!”
