Gold for L&L Travel at 2022 Professional Driver QSI Awards

L&L Travel wins Gold QSi Award in the UK’s only national awards for the private hire, taxi and chauffeur sector.

Newton-le-Willows-based company takes Gold in the New-Start Operator category. A night to remember for Britain’s chauffeur and private hire industry.

Newton-le-Willows-based L&L Travel has won the Gold Award in the New-Start Operator category of the prestigious Professional Driver QSi Awards.
Professional Driver Editor Mark Bursa said: “L&L Travel only started operations  this time last year, but owner Steve Leather impressed with his innovative approach to building his business.

L&L Travel has focused on minibus transfers, airport work and taking coach travellers from home to coach station, as well as providing a lower-priced minibus service for schools and local community groups.”

More recently they have invested in Mercedes vehicles and started work within the corporate / Executive sector.

The New-Start Operator Award aims to reward private hire, taxi and chauffeur businesses that have only recently become established in the market. It’s open to companies that have either started operating or undergone a major change of management or direction since the start of 2018.

Professional Driver magazine’s QSi Awards ceremony was a night to remember for the cream of Britain’s chauffeur and private hire operators. The awards, open to every chauffeur and private hire company in the UK, are designed to recognise operators and individuals that demonstrate excellent standards of Quality, Service and Innovation.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were presented in 9 categories at a thrilling event, held at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales. The 9 categories mean there’s something for every size and type of operator, from one-man bands to large fleets. Categories also reward innovations in marketing, environmental performance and local community activities, while a special award, Professional Driver of the Year – singles out a chauffeur or private hire driver who is judged to be the best in the UK.

The QSi Awards were launched in 2013 as the first and only national awards for the industry.
