Hi-tech Bolton firm on the road to expansion with series of new northern partners

A series of alliances with new partners in the fast-growing surveillance sector using advanced CCTV technology have put hi-tech company 4Sight Imaging Ltd on the road to expansion.

The company, based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, is on the lookout for new talent after striking up deals to work with companies acting as “resellers” and distributors of its unique technology to organisations.

Typically, 4Sight Imaging’s technology is used for highway surveillance, car park management, automatic optical inspection on manufacturing production lines and in the defence industry.

One application of equipment the company has developed is to help local authorities fulfil their now statutory obligation to make their roads safer, for example detecting anti-social behaviour by motorists.

Another is the development of automatic toll road, systems, negating the necessity for people-operated booths, as pay-to-use highways become more prevalent across the globe.

Managing director Brook Jackson is looking to add to his team of highly qualified technologists working from the company’s Bark Street headquarters and is likely to boost his headcount soon.

Brook says he is particularly pleased that some of the key new partners are based in the North of England, where his own company is based.

These include multi-faceted computer systems company Nimans, based in Manchester and Oprema, a premier security sector distributor in the UK, both of whom are using 4Sight Imaging technology as the mainline supplier for all of its ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) needs.

Meanwhile, security systems integrator White Rose Security, based in Mexborough, Yorkshire, and which specialises in the installation of ANPR solutions is also on board with 4Sight Imaging.

Brook said: “I am particularly pleased that some of the people we’ve teamed up with are in the north of England.

“It feels really good to be working with people locally.”

He said that installers of 4Sight Imaging’s equipment are being supported in bidding for projects and added: “We are keen to help ensure that the quality levels of our products are sustained, that end-user customers get good value, not just from us, but from our supply chain.”

“We’re finding that these people we’ve partnered with are great people to help us all achieve that objective.”

These alliances all point to a bright future for 4Sight Imaging, with recruitment of specialist technologists high on Brook’s agenda.

“Like many companies the Covid pandemic stalled our progress in 2021, but the projects we can make a telling contribution to are still there to be bid for,” added Brook. “We’re now looking for talent to help us with this goal.”
