Pub and brewery firm announces three key promotions

Fred Vanderplank

Liberation Group, a pub and brewery industry throughout the South West, has revealed three internal appointments.

Alice Bowyer, who joined the company in 2016, has earned a promotion to the position of director off food.

Bowyer has shown innovation, collaboration with top suppliers, and commitment to supporting local and seasonal produce.

Fred Vanderplank has taken on a newly established role as sales and commercial director, combining his existing responsibilities for Liberation Group’s overall drinks contracts with the leadership of Butcombe’s drinks sales team.

With six years in the business, Vanderplank has shown the ability to drive sales, foster supplier relationships, and secure new contracts.

Ollie Fleming has been appointed as the head of free trade in the UK.

With a 12-year tenure at Butcombe, he has consistently delivered sales growth.

Key products in this expansion include Butcombe Original, Tall Tales Pale Ale, and Goram IPA Zero.

Jayson Perfect, group managing director of Pubs & Inns, Liberation Group said: “We have achieved a lot over the last five years and all three of these individuals have been integral to this success.  We have strong ambitions and plans to continue to grow our business and we’re looking forward to a successful New Year with these three helping us to bring our exciting plans and ambitions to fruition.”
