On the Move: Monahans; Hartnell Taylor Cook; Marks Sattin; Coodes Solicitors; Osborne Clarke

Monahans, one of the largest chartered accountancy and business advisers in the South West, has appointed Stephanie Buckley as commercial partner.

Working closely with teams across the 11-office firm, she will work to identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and expand the client base throughout the South West and beyond.

Buckley co-founded The Insolvency Company in 2018 with Gareth Buckley, which she continues to play an important role within as part of the wider Monahan’s group.

She said: “I am excited to take on this new opportunity. Monahans has such a strong reputation across the region, and there’s huge potential to build on that. I am looking forward to supporting the teams within Monahans and identifying impactful ways we can grow and add real value to our clients.”

Commercial property consultancy Hartnell Taylor Cook has announced several senior promotions.

Jonathan Moore and Steven Shaw have been promoted to director, and Miranda Anglias to senior associate director. Additionally, a number of individuals have also been promoted to associate director, senior surveyor and senior facilities manager positions.

With headcount now standing at 127 across offices in London and Bristol, Hartnell Taylor Cook has capitalised on recent successes, including new secured contracts from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Marks and Spencer Plc, and The Co-operative Group, to grow capabilities across the full range of the business.

Alongside the new directors, James Frost, Jessica Smith, and Oliver Walker-Savings have been promoted to associate director; Thomas Dadswell to senior surveyor; and Stacey Webb to senior facilities manager.

Coodes Solicitors has announced a new chapter in its more than 275-year history with the appointment of Elise Alma as its new chair.

Founded in 1747, Coodes employs more than 180 staff and has a network of eight offices in Cornwall and Devon, advising individuals, families and businesses.

Alma takes over as chair from Peter Lamble, who is retiring having led the firm since 2014 and presided over significant growth, which has seen Coodes become an £11m-plus business.

Osborne Clarke has announced that 10 lawyers will be made up to partner and six promoted to legal director.

In the Bristol office, three were made partner and there were two legal director promotions.
