The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership is organising a memorial event to honour and celebrate the life and accomplishments of its late Chair, Mark Duddridge, who passed away in May.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6, at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro,  from 12-2 pm.

Duddridge, who unexpectedly passed away at his home in South East Cornwall on May 16 at the age of 60, had served as the Chair of the LEP since 2016, following a successful 20-year career in the food industry.

He was an advocate for Cornwall, its businesses, and the broader economic and social aspirations of the county.

The memorial event will feature reflections from individuals who knew and collaborated with Mark throughout his professional journey, highlighting the significant contributions he made to Cornwall and Scilly.

Current LEP chair Emma Hunt said: “This is an opportunity to celebrate Mark’s professional life and work, and the enormous impact he had on shaping our region thanks to his tireless energy, enthusiasm, and passion.

“Mark was a generous, selfless and good-humoured champion for Cornwall and Scilly and we look forward to reflecting on his many achievements.”
