Family run haulage firm forced to call in administrators

A family run Bristol haulage firm has called in the administrators.

Quantuma Advisory took control of the affairs of John Dinham Transport at the start of the month.

The haulier, which trades out of the Chittening industrial estate, has a fleet of almost 30 HGV vehicles.

In its last set of accounts, for the year ending 30 September 2022, the company said it employed 56 people.

In 2020, John Dinham Transport bought the business and assets of fellow Pall-Ex member Lima Logistics after the Gloucester-based courier entered administration, an early victim of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The insolvency follows a series of haulage companies recently entering administration, including Youngs Transportation & Logistics, AAD Transport, Bridgetime Transport, WJ Capper Transport, WH Barley, Bomfords Group, Gwynedd Shipping and HMF Services.

Companies House lists John Dinham Transport’s directors as Jonathan Dinham, Natasha Dinham, Mark Evans and Andrew Terry.
