Law firm works on takeover of professional services firm

The private equity team at national law firm Foot Anstey has advised on the takeover of a professional services firm for Dutch software and design client ID-ware Group.

ID-ware, which is backed by private equity firm Committed Capital, has acquired Cipher10 for an undisclosed amount.

Cipher10 offers specialised professional services in the physical identity and access management (PIAM) industry alongside its cloud-based solutions.

The deal is set to significantly expand ID-ware’s footprint in the sector with the potential to generate growth for the combined firms in the UK technology market.

The Foot Anstey team, which advised on all aspects of the acquisition, was led by corporate senior associate Emma Clayton, with advice from employment associate Angharad Davies, tax associate Kirsty Poulton and corporate solicitor David Jones.

Emma said: “We’re thrilled to have advised Committed Capital through ID-ware Group’s acquisition of Cipher10 and to have achieved a successful outcome for all parties involved. I look forward to seeing ID-ware continue to go from strength-to-strength.”

A spokesman for Committed Capital added: “Foot Anstey private equity team’s expertise and guidance throughout this acquisition process has been invaluable in navigating the complexities of the transaction.”
