Management team step in to acquire software specialist

A Bristol technology firm has been acquired for an undisclosed amount.

The existing senior management team acquired Applicable from NTT.

The deal will strengthen NTT’s position as an independent provider of Microsoft 365 and UC solutions available to the large enterprise market.

Bristol based Applicable provides comprehensive Microsoft 365 managed services to clients globally and has a depth of expertise in UC voice services, global networking, data security and change management.

Applicable will separate from NTT Ltd and run independently, continuing to focus on product development with a long-term strategic plan at the core of its operation.

The acquisition will further streamline operational efficiencies and enhance clients’ user experience by transitioning tasks, or full estate management, to their team of global, industry-leading, certified technology specialists.

Mark Wells, director at Applicable said: “The MGroup Corporate Finance provided the senior management buyout team with strategic support and offered tailored solutions to help us acquire the business from NTT.

“This deal enables the business to strengthen our position in the market, ambitiously expand our global footprint, and drive the future growth of the specialised range of services provided by the Applicable team. The MGroup team’s experience and support, as well as the outstanding levels of service that we have experienced throughout, have been invaluable to guide us through the process, especially dealing with a large overseas vendor.”

Mark Crossfield, partner at The MGroup added: “We were delighted to be invited to support such an interesting transaction. Building a negotiating relationship with foreign companies can be a challenge but the Applicable management enabled these barriers to be broken down quickly and concluded in a professional manner. The business should now flourish as an independent entity in their capable hands, and we wish them well.”
