David led Lorica through an aggressive growth phase through to a successful trade sale to Aon and then became CEO of Aon Employee Benefits for nine years before retiring from Aon at the end of 2023. In 2023, David was recognised by Health & Protection Magazine for his outstanding contribution to the industry.

David said of his new role at Healix; “I am really excited to be joining Healix at this time. I have always had a huge respect for Healix and the people who work there. It’s a business which is big enough to have substantial clout within the healthcare and risk management  marketplace, but still has the culture and flexibility to deliver a customised and personalised approach to intermediary and client needs.”

Joining David is Steven Whitehouse, who is taking up the newly created position of Group Chief Technology Officer. Steven has a career working across startups, SMEs, and multi-national corporations, including IBM and Ford. His experience has seen him plan and implement large-scale technology solutions and infrastructures, including contactless payments for the London Oyster Card Network for Cubic Transportation Systems.

Steven said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation like Healix, one which is strategically focused and full of like-minded people. This role will offer me the opportunity to utilise state of the art technologies that will help maximise and shape the company’s future.”

Completing the set of new hires, is Richard Jones, who will be joining Healix as Data & Pricing Director, leaving from his role of Head of Pricing at Barclays.

Richard will focus on working with the senior team to shape and implement the pricing strategy moving forward, enabling Healix to continue on its growth path.
