Gloucestershire property firm lands multi-million pound contract

Property company Mears has won a multi-million pound contract with a local authority.

The Gloucestershire firm, a leading provider of services to the UK Housing sector, has landed a contract worth £125m each year for the next 12 years.

The company has confirmed that it has received notification from North Lanarkshire Council (‘NLC’) of its intention to award to Mears a major contract with immediate effect..

The contract, which extends the group’s long-standing relationship with the local authority is for a period of up to 12 years and with an estimated annual value of over £125m.

Mears will provides reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and inspection services, as well as programmes of planned works to NLC’s housing assets  of around.37,000 homes and 1,200 public buildings.

Mears is a leading provider of services to the Housing sector, providing a range of services to individuals within their homes.

The manages and maintains around 450,000 homes across the UK and work predominantly with central government and local government, typically through long-term contracts.

Mears currently employs over 5,000 people and provides services in every region of the UK. In partnership with local authorities and provides property management and maintenance services.

Mears has extended its activities to provide broader housing solutions to solve the challenge posed by the lack of affordable housing and to provide accommodation and support for the most vulnerable.
