Superdry parts company with chief commercial officer

Superdry chief commercial officer Craig McGregor is stepping down from his role.

The news comes as the struggling retailer awaits approval of its restructuring plan from shareholders.

The firm is looking to delist from the stock exchange and make hundreds

McGregor joined the Cheltenham business in March 2020 as global retail director before becoming global commercial director in November 2022 and chief commercial officer earlier this year.

It comes after chief financial officer Shaun Wills stepped down from the board in March. Giles David, former McColl’s CFO, has taken the role of interim CFO.

Last month the retailer announced details of its restructuring plan which included reducing its store footprint in a bid to avoid going into administration.

The company said in a statement: “We are currently focused on the proposed restructuring plan designed to safeguard the future of Superdry. As per our standard policy we will not comment on any matters concerning individual personnel.”

It added that there are no changes to Superdry’s leadership team “at this stage” other than appointing Dafydd Moore as technology director. Moore joined the business on 3 June from Halfords where he was group director of IT strategy and architecture since August 2022.
