National operator swoops for air and water testing firm

A Gloucestershire air and water testing firm has been acquired by a national operator.
Audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory firm Bishop Fleming advised on the sale of Concept Environmental Solutions to Celnor Group.
Concept, a national provider of water & air testing for a variety of sectors including education, hospitality, healthcare, leisure and transport, has been acquired by Celnor Group.
Celnor Group, backed by Inflexion, is a platform comprising testing, inspection, certification and scientific (TICC) businesses.
The acquisition of Concept to its Safety and Compliance division expands the existing water testing capabilities of the Celnor Group and complements the Group service offering.
Bishop Fleming provided corporate finance lead advisory services to Concept.
Partner, David Lock led the team of advisers, which was supported by Senior Manager Robin Kirkham Parry and Manager Declan Fardon.
Ben Gibson, managing director and founder of Concept, said: “We are delighted to be joining Celnor Group, an organisation that shares our vision and values and represents the start of an exciting new journey. Together, we will initiate the next phase of our growth and I look forward to working with the team at Celnor over the coming years.
“The Bishop Fleming team were excellent to work with, providing invaluable advice and support throughout the transaction process. They successfully tackled complex aspects of the deal, delivering clear and concise advice whilst negotiating and delivering a fantastic outcome for the shareholders and the company.”
David Lock, Corporate Finance Partner, at Bishop Fleming, said: “It was a pleasure to advise Ben and the team on a transaction that provides Concept with a strongly invested and stable platform for future growth. It became apparent early on that Celnor’s approach worked on many levels, from their strategic aspirations to the cultural fit across the teams. We wish both parties well for their continued mutual growth.”
The shareholders of Concept were also advised by HCR Law (Legal).
