Housebuilder releases image of Gloucestershire scheme
The first computer-generated images have been released of the new houses being built at Bellway’s new Forest Walk development in Lydney.
The company is building 200 homes to the east of the Gloucestershire town.
The energy-efficient homes at the development have been designed with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points, and the latest images show how they might look when construction is complete.
Forest Walk is part of a wider project of 320 properties, which has outline planning permission for employment land and a new neighbourhood centre. Bellway is set to invest £2.9m in education, roads and other services as part of the planning agreement for this scheme.
Daniel Shone, head of sales for Bellway, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of our plan for Forest Walk. It runs through everything from construction methods and how the homes are powered and insulated, through to the protection of the local ecology and wildlife.
“The wider project has been planned to feature employment land and a neighbourhood centre, so it will support sustainability in terms of economic, social and community activity too.”
Bellway previously built 90 homes at its Archer’s Walk development in Lydney, which is now complete.
