Partners& tee off for charity
A team from Partners&, the nationwide insurance company with an office in Portishead, set out on a golfing challenge in support of Weston charity, Broadway Lodge, one of the UK’s leading addiction rehabilitation centres.
The challenge was to complete 54 holes at Weston-super-Mare Golf Club. The team taking part was Phil Barton, Partners& CEO, Chris Jelf, Partners& group commercial director and Broadway Lodge trustee, John Marks, Partners& client partner and Colin Hall-Tomkin, Broadway Lodge trustee.
They accomplished three laps of the 18-hole course without the use of buggies, all in 12 hours, raising £14,581.25.
Barton said: “The work that CEO John Aizlewood and his team do is truly transformational for individuals, their families, and the communities in which they live and work. Whilst the 54 holes was quite a challenge, Chris, John, Colin and I were driven on by the work that the team do at Broadway Lodge. They have impacted thousands of individuals, their families and friends over the last 50 years. We’re thrilled to be a small part of the great work that they do.”
The team have so far received donations from 149 supporters including generous sponsorships from Allianz, BPE Solicitors, The Cow and Sow (Clifton), and Michelmore.
