‘Chocolate box’ cottage on edge of Cotswolds to go under the hammer at auction

A ‘chocolate box’ cottage in a small village on the edge of the Cotswolds is coming up for sale in Bond Wolfe’s next auction.

Churchend Cottage, in Bushley, near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, will have a £265,000+ guide price in the livestreamed auction on Thursday May 15.

Jonathan Hackett, consultant director at Bond Wolfe, said that the Grade II-listed property dates back at least as far as the 17th century.

Hackett said: “This beautiful chocolate box cottage boasts original features, such as exposed brick walls and beams.

“The semi-detached property has a reception room, kitchen, inner lobby and bathroom with separate shower cubicle on the ground floor, and a landing with two bedrooms upstairs.

“It is close to the larger village of Twyning, which has a well-stocked convenience store and several welcoming pubs.

“Just a short drive away is the market town of Tewkesbury, home to a medieval abbey, and not too far away are the cities of Cheltenham and Gloucester.”

Churchend Cottage will be among scores of lots appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which is due to start at 8.30am.

The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
