Accountancy marks first year in new office with turnover boost

An accountancy and business advisory practice in Gloucestershire is on track for increased annual turnover after celebrating one year at a new office.

Azets merged the Cheltenham and Gloucester offices last year due to a period of significant growth. Having been at the new office in Gloucester Business Park for a year, the team is forecasting 30% growth in revenue, to in the region of £6m in 2023.

Azets Gloucester has welcomed 18 new starters since March 2022, as well as making 18 promotions within the team.

The team comprises 77 staff, including seven partners. Service lines at the office include accounting, audit, tax, payroll, advisory and outsourcing. Sectors range from property and construction to technology and charities.

Claire Clift, office managing partner at Azets Gloucester, said: “It’s been great to see how quickly everyone has settled into the office, and how the drive for growth has continued, despite the continually challenging backdrop of the economic landscape.

Our transition to a hybrid working model has encouraged agile working and we’ve created a digital, paperless setup to make it easier for clients, whilst also monitoring our environmental footprint. Our staff are at the forefront of what we do, so there’s been a large focus on staff wellbeing and appreciation, with initiatives such as YuLife employee benefits and a talent development programme.

“We’re still committed to providing a seamless service for small-to-medium size firms and are continuing to grow our team to match demand, with five trainee placements already filled for later in the year.

“The 30% growth from the office is testament to the team’s hard work and drive, and I want to thank all of those involved in making our first combined year, such a success.”
