Building consultancy appoints new associate director in Bristol

Trident Building Consultancy has promoted Alex Wallis to the position of associate director its Bristol office.

Alex, who has had a varied career, joined Trident in August 2015, after a third stint at university where he studied to be a building surveyor.

Previously, he has worked as an intern at Goldman Sachs on Fleet Street, in finance and logistics with global brand adidas, and as an estate agent.

However, in 2010, he decided to enrol on a masters degree course in building surveying due to a love of the built environment.

He said: “I am delighted to have been promoted as I enjoy working at Trident Building Consultancy very much. As an employee owned trust, it has a great culture where everyone looks after each other and the business.

“My roles involve me carrying out general building surveying such as commercial technical due diligence, contract administration, and recently, specialised housing refurbishment.

“This might be for people with learning difficulties, disabilities, or the elderly. I find this very rewarding. I love helping people to be more comfortable in their own homes.”

Managing director Dan Roe said: “Alex brings a wealth of experience from other sectors to his role and as a result, has a varied skill set and great insight into people and their needs.

“He is a real asset to our Bristol office, but beyond that to the people he works with. Alex is passionate about making a real impact on people’s day-to-day lives through surveying and the built environment, and that comes through in everything thing he does.

“He is very deserving of this promotion.”
