Law firm continues growth in Bristol with partner hire

Professional services business Knights has hired another partner in Bristol just weeks after arriving in the city through acquisition.

Knights has a full service offering in Bristol across corporate, real estate and dispute resolution law, including one of the UK’s largest specialist healthcare corporate teams.

Partner Shahjahan Ali has joined the team in Bristol and brings experience specialising in immigration law.

His practice supports businesses and individuals on a wide range of immigration matters including visa applications to work, invest and study in the UK as well as immigration compliance. Shahjahan’s client base is diverse, spanning a broad spectrum of businesses, investors, entrepreneurs and highly skilled professionals.

Ali said: “Joining Knights presents a unique opportunity to grow a leading immigration practice and I am excited to drive forward this new chapter.”

His arrival at Knights takes the business’ Bristol office to a total of 30 professionals – including 10 partners – with more quality local talent set to join soon as Knights prepares for further growth.

It also follows the appointment of partners Caroline Nemecek, David Morris and Marti Burgess last month.

Client services director James Christacos said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Shahjahan to a growing team that’s really stamping its mark in Bristol.

“When we entered the market in Bristol earlier this year, we committed to growing the business by hiring exceptional local talent. It’s brilliant to see that approach paying off.

“We’re investing right across the business and there are more talented new hires set to join us in Bristol in the next few months.”
