A partnership involving Bristol City Centre, Redcliffe & Temple and Broadmead BID teams has helped save local businesses more than £132,000 in its first nine months.

PSP has been appointed by the three BIDs to deliver a programme aimed at reducing business operating costs during the ‘cost of doing business’ crisis.

The partnership offers expertise and resources, helping businesses to achieve their sustainability goals and thrive in a competitive market.

The partnership also provides comprehensive guidance spanning a variety of topics – including energy efficiency, sustainability and cost cutting strategies.

The Place Support Partnership was born out of a passion for supporting businesses and is designed to help generate economic outcomes for all involved.

Founded by Rishi Sood, the chief executive and his team boast an impressive track record of savings success across the UK.

PSP has been commissioned by 60 BIDs and 12 local authorities to date and has identified millions of pounds worth of savings since 2021.

Rishi has 14 years of experience in the field, and is personally credited with securing millions of pounds worth of savings.

PSP has offered a unique service to the Bristol BIDs by serving the needs of retail, entertainment, NTE and professional services making it a one stop shop to cover all business types within the city area.

Steve Bluff, head of Redcliffe & Temple BID, said: “We have a broad mix of professional services, hospitality and retail businesses within our BID area and sustainable cost management is important to all of them to ensure they can thrive. We partnered with Rishi and his team because of their excellent track record across the UK in identifying significant savings and if your business hasn’t already, we recommend getting in touch to explore the opportunities”

Vicky Lee, head of Bristol City Centre BID, said: “We look forward to continuing this collaboration with the PSP making savings for businesses in the city centre, who have been dedicated to providing the best services for customers through this cost-of-living crisis.

The PSP has become a valuable asset during a time of uncertainty for many local businesses. We have already seen fantastic results for our levy paying members and we hope this will help them to feel ever-more confident in making financially sound decisions long into the future.”

Rishi Sood, chief executive of PSP, said: “As we enter this period of uncertainty, it is fast becoming apparent that the need to make savings wherever possible isn’t just a national issue – but a global one.

“Retail has always been a challenging sector, especially with the rise of e-commerce, but the acceleration of moving to digital during the pandemic, and now with the effects of the energy crisis, many more businesses have been forced to close.

The climate will remain difficult throughout 2023, therefore it is PSP’s goal to lead by example and deliver strategic, smart and ethical programmes that can offer trusted advice, guidance and support.”
