Top business leader to speak at networking lunch

One of the best-known business leaders in the South West will be the guest speaker at our networking lunch.

Martin Thatcher is the fourth generation of his family to make cider at his farm in Somerset.

Since the family started turning apples cider in 1904 their produce has become a familiar part of the  South West’s culture.

Adopted by people from the West Country as their chosen tipple Thatchers Cider is as much a part of the region as Cheddar cheese and clotted cream.

But Martin has never been one to stick to tradition and his methods and ideas for new drinks has helped to turn his company into one of the most successful family businesses in the South West.

Last year the company sold £155m worth of cider and he is looking to build on the success.
