Developer unveils plan for village site

Property developer Allison Homes South West has announced the acquisition of a new site in Devon.

The site is in the village of Witheridge and there are plans to build 155 new homes on the land.

Willow Heights, will be the housebuilder’s biggest development to date. Offering a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, along with two- and three-bedroom detached bungalows, catering to a diverse range of lifestyles.

Fifty of the new homes, nearly a third of the whole development, will be also classed as affordable.

Matt Bennett, managing director at Allison Homes South West, said: “We’re very excited to announce that completion has taken place on our biggest and latest development in the region. We’re looking forward to investing in the area and bringing much-needed, high-quality homes to the beautiful village of Witheridge.

“We design our properties with the homeowner in mind; as standard, all our homes are purpose-built to be energy efficient and designed with superior insulation, heating systems, low-energy appliances and lighting. We take pride in providing people with homes that are energy efficient, enabling residents to live more comfortably and benefit from having lower monthly bills.

“We are dedicated to creating communities and homes for local people, including first-time buyers and young families who may otherwise struggle to get on the housing ladder in Devon. A number of our homes are also bungalows, perfect for people looking to downsize.”

Allison Homes South West already works with partner housing providers and build-to-rent companies across a number of its developments.

Subject to planning, work on the development is expected to start later this year.
