Major Gloucestershire site earmarked for new homes

SevenHomes has exchanged contracts on a 6.9-acre greenfield site in Whitminster to bring new homes to the area.

Located on surplus land off Hyde Lane, Paynes Meadow, and behind existing housing, the site is earmarked for around 60 houses, subject to planning approval, including 19 affordable homes.

Situated less than 10 miles south-west of Gloucester within the Severn Vale, the village of Whitminster is surrounded by countryside and is served by the Whitminster Endowed Church of England Primary School along with pubs, shops and restaurants.

Abdul Ali, executive director and head of office for SevenHomes, said: “This site in Paynes Meadow is a prime spot to provide new homes and public open space to the area, whilst remaining sensitive to Whitminster’s village status. We look forward to promoting the site and submitting our proposals to the local planning authority in due course.”
