Popular Bristol restaurant closes its doors with immediate effect

A Bristol restaurant in the heart of the Harbourside has announced it is closing with immediate effect.

Revolución de Cuba replaced the Bordeaux Key restaurant on the Harbourside just over five years ago.

The restaurant is part of the Revolution Bars chain which has branches across the UK.

The venue which occupied a key spot in one of the busiest parts of the city offered Latin-inspired food and cocktails.

The sudden closure was announced on social media.

A statement read: “Amigos, we have loved shaking your cocktails and creating unmissable fiestas over the years, but as of today, 17th October 2023, we will sadly be closing our doors in Revolución de Cuba Bristol.

“We want to extend an enormous thank you for joining the Revolución de Cuba fiesta and making some unforgettable memories.

“Any guests with bookings will be contacted in due course – Thank you for your patience and understanding.

“For any guests looking for their next Cuban escape, your nearest Rev de Cuba is now our Cardiff location,”

The chain operates venues in 17 other locations and is the part of the Revolution Bars group.

Last week Revolution Bars has reported a significant yearly loss, blaming “very challenging” times for the hospitality sector.
