Hundreds of jobs to be created at new designer outlet

Work is set to begin on a new designer outlet centre which could create up to 500 retail jobs.

Cotswold Designer Outlet is being built next to the M5 at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury and is due to open in spring 2025.

As well as retail jobs, the project is expected to create a further 300 construction jobs.

Robert Hitchins has appointed developer Bouygues UK to deliver the first phase of the project.

Property and development director at Robert Hitchins, Simon Tothill, said: “We’ve had long-term aspirations to bring an outlet destination to this site.

“We look forward to sharing more milestones with the community as we announce new construction jobs and the new brands that we will be bringing to this incredible location.”

Construction will start in November.
