Warehouse to create 250 new jobs in Gloucestershire

Retailer Costco Wholesale has launched a consultation on its plans for a new warehouse.

The warehouse is being built at the former Interbrew site off Eastern Road in Gloucester.

Costco Wholesale has 29 sites across the UK and is proposing a new warehouse and petrol filling station on the brownfield site that has been empty since 2017.

The 13,109m2 warehouse is expected to create between 180 and 250 jobs for local people.

Launching the consultation, a spokesperson for Costco Wholesale said: “Before applying to Gloucester City Council for planning permission, we’d like to present our proposal to the local community and provide an opportunity for local residents and businesses to provide feedback.

“We have written directly to neighbours of our proposed site, but people across the city are welcome to visit our consultation website.”

An online exhibition will be open until 5pm on 16th November at www.costco-consults.co.uk
