Home builders invest £7m in community project

Spitfire Homes is investing over £7m in the Bishop’s Cleeve community in Cheltenham, focusing on enhancing education, sports facilities, and public transport.
With 90 per cent of phase one homes at Fairmont already sold, Spitfire has launched phase two, featuring properties with electric car charging points and energy-efficient air source heat pumps as standard.
This new development comprises 215 homes and is located in Bishop’s Cleeve.
Matt Vincent from Spitfire Homes said: “Delivering this contribution to the local community at Bishop’s Cleeve builds on our strategy to support the communities where we operate and aligns with our Sustainable Futures framework for operating as a socially responsible company. With Phase One 90 per cent sold we’re pleased to be releasing Phase Two to meet the clear and significant demand for quality new homes within the local area. The first properties in Phase Two will be ready to move in from Spring 2024.”
Lucy Jordan, the instructed agent at Fairmont, said: “We’ve sold homes at Fairmont to a wide range of buyers, whether that be first-time buyers, families, or downsizers, and we’re finding that customers are looking for properties that have the flexibility of space and come with a wide variety of interior choices.
“We’re also seeing a real focus from buyers on homes that are sustainable and energy efficient. Spitfire ensures all its homes have traditionally styled exteriors which are sympathetic to the local area, and buyers can personalise interior space with a wide range of choices and finishes.”
