Delivery company opens new Somerset facility

Priority Express, part of The APC delivery network, has unveiled a new 8,700 sq ft facility in Frome, Somerset.
The expansion aligns with the company’s strong growth, marked by an 11.4 per cent year-on-year revenue increase.
Situated on Marshall Way, the larger site represents a 40 per cent increase from the previous Frome location, while the company also doubled the size of its Bristol site 18 months ago, expanding it to over 16,000 sq ft.
The expansion will enable Priority Express to improve its offerings, including APC Overnight, same-day, and international delivery services for local businesses in the BA postcode area.
The added space also facilitates improved storage, order fulfilment, pick-up, and drop-off services.
Leveraging The APC network’s nationwide coverage, Priority Express supports local businesses in extending their reach to a growing national customer base.
Neil Havill, managing director of Priority Express, said: “Throughout the pandemic, we saw growing demand for parcel services, driven by a surge in consumer e-commerce activity.
“Across our business we worked hard to support our local customers, many of which were small ‘cottage’ SME businesses, recognising their changing needs and investing in our business to support this. A few years on the pandemic has fundamentally changed the shape of so many SME businesses across Somerset, as well as their delivery needs and delivery expectations.
“We want to invest in our business to allow us to support the strong continued growth of our customers and our new site is just the start of this commitment.”
