Boutique law firm marks 20 years in business

Law firm Roxburgh Milkins is celebrating 20 years of giving legal advice.

The  corporate and commercial law firm, recently celebrated 20 years in business with clients past and present at a party which highlighted the best of Bristol.

The main event was held in The Mount Without, a beautiful, converted church perched above St Michael’s Hill, which was a suitably unique venue for the independent firm.

The impressive interior was complimented by food from local supplier Biblos, and 100 people enjoyed chatting and catching up over the meal and – of course – birthday cakes.

At the start of the night, three clients were invited to speak about their experiences of working with Roxburgh Milkins.

One explained how RM had supported his fledging tech business with funding and preparation for launch, another detailed how the firm had helped with an exit and the last recalled how pragmatic advice had helped in numerous tricky contract situations with bigger businesses.

The common themes were that the firm had been incredibly helpful, given pragmatic advice, and had “made the complicated straightforward”.

Since founders Bruce Roxburgh and Jason Milkins first left a large firm to start the niche legal practice, they knew that they wanted to work in a more flexible and client-focused way. Now with a team of 12, they all enjoy helping ambitious and innovative businesses with their growth.

As a smaller firm with engaged partners, they pride themselves on really getting to know each client, hence their strapline “business law, designed around you”.

Jason Milkins, founder and director at Roxburgh Milkins, commented: “The people that we have worked with in the last twenty years are what has made the firm successful in our eyes.

“Not only the clients that we’ve enjoyed supporting, but our wider network of professionals – and of course, our team. We’re incredibly proud to be able to say thank you to them all with our celebrations, and here’s to many more years to come.”
