Local business owner to expand care company’s services in new venture

The owner of a popular Bristol home care company based in Bristol is handing over the reins to local resident, Andrew Wood.

John Moore has been running Home Instead Bristol North for eight years, which has been rated Outstanding by the CQC since 2018.

The company provides care across the local area, including help with dressing and bathing, companionship and specialist care supporting with conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s.  John was looking for a dedicated person to take over and lead his team of 80 care professionals who collectively support 180 clients.

Andrew, owner of Home Instead Hereford, was keen to take up this opportunity. For 12 years he has worked at a very senior level in healthcare and plans to grow what the Bristol company currently offers, adding services such as live-in care, healthcare at home and post-hospital discharge care. Following the business seamlessly changing hands, Andrew will be delighted to support more older people in the area who want to stay living in their beloved homes yet receive the care crucial to their health and wellbeing.

Having lived in Bristol for over 40 years, currently residing in Stoke Bishop, Andrew has cemented himself as part of the community, getting to know local families and understanding the pressures they’re under.
