Sign of the times as Hollywood Monster to close business until end of April

Hollywood Monster, the signs and banners designer and manufacturer, is to close its Birmingham base until the end of April – but has promised to come back “bigger and stronger”.
The firm, which was set up by Tim Andrews and his father in a loft in 1991, now employs 70 people at its Redfern Park Way premises. It had been running on a skeleton staff in recent days.
A statement from the firm said: “To all our valued clients and suppliers: We have taken the difficult decision to close our doors as of Friday 27 March until the end of April where we will again review the situation.
“It has not been an easy decision to make but we feel that with over 70 staff we need to take this measure to protect them and their families.
“We want to once again thank our incredibly loyal staff who have gone above and beyond to keep the business running as well as we could in these uncertain, crazy times, and a huge thank you to all of our suppliers and clients for all of your business so far in 2020.
“We can’t wait until the day this is over and we are back up and running and welcoming you all back. So, for now from all the team at HM we hope you all stay safe, take care and we will be back bigger and stronger.”
