Grainger completes second Birmingham development

Grainger has completed its second development in Birmingham, offering 375 build-to-rent homes.

The £77m Silver Yard scheme brings the residential landlord’s total investment in the city to £105m, following its £28m Gilder’s Yard development in 2022.

The Silver Yard created nearly 465 local jobs during construction. With over 100 homes rented in its first month, the development is now more than 55% leased.

A variety of amenities are on offer to residents, including a free on-site gym, super-fast fibre optic broadband, spacious resident’s lounge, co-working space with booths and meeting pods, bookable meeting room, private dining room, gym and exercise studio, 2,360 sq ft outdoor roof terrace.

Grainger says Birmingham is one of the highest-scoring UK cities for rental demand and growth potential.

Helen Gordon, chief executive of Grainger, said: “We believe that Birmingham is an excellent place to be investing, and our latest scheme, The Silver Yard, provides additional high-quality homes managed by a dedicated on-site team, raising the bar for Birmingham renters. We look forward to welcoming our newest residents to The Silver Yard, and We continue to look for new sites as we continue to grow our business in Birmingham and the West Midlands.”
