Weightmans to advise Wolverhampton health trust

THE Healthcare and Corporate teams at law firm Weightmans have successfully tendered under a new Framework Agreement for the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust.  

Under the agreement the firm will provide legal advice to the trust in the areas of NHS Governance and Public Law; Healthcare Law; Primary Care Services; Mental Health Law; Employment; Contract and Commercial Law; Property; Corporate Finance and PFI/PPP Projects including schemes.

Tony Yeaman, Weightmans’ national head of healthcare based at the firm’s Birmingham office, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust to provide legal assistance and support on such a comprehensive brief. We are committed to refining our portfolio of services to continue to meet the needs of public sector organisations in these challenging times.”

Weightmans’ Healthcare team currently advises more than 140 NHS trusts and other bodies, and is appointed to many of the major Healthcare consortia.

Andrew Cooper, Weightmans’ Public Sector Line director, said the firm would advise on a range of public sector and commercial disciplines.
