New restaurant opens after bank dishes out loan
A NEW Asian fusion restaurant has opened in Worcester after securing a business loan worth £265,000.
Amin’s, which is based in Grade II Listed 4,000 sq ft premises in Foregate Street in the city centre, has helped to create 12 new jobs.
The restaurant, which offers diners fusion Indian cuisine and a cafe bistro, is expecting to achieve turnover of approximately £250,000 in its first year of business.
Serving more than 90 covers, the restaurant will offer a lunchtime cafe bistro menu to fulfil the needs of Worcester’s business community, as well as Indian fusion cuisine in the evening. The restaurant also features a private dining area, which is being promoted as ‘The Glass House’ and can seat up to 16 people for private parties.
Amin’s is headed-up by owner Mosnul Haque, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the catering and restaurant industry. He has teamed up his brother, chef Jay Haque, who runs two other restaurants in Worcestershire.
After approaching Lloyds TSB Commercial to secure lending support, the £265,000 loan has been used to purchase the premises and in creating a restaurant with an exclusive interior.
