Six new managers at Barclays branches in Birmingham

SIX new managers have been appointed by Barclays to run branches across Birmingham.
This follows a number of promotions within the bank which has enabled individuals to move up the career ladder.
Colmore Row branch will be managed by James Heron who has been with Barclays for over five years and previously undertaken personal banker and assistant manager roles.
He said: “I am excited by the challenges that lie ahead. As part of my drive to improve customer service, I am planning to host a series of events in the branch, where customers can come and hear about a range of financial topics which may be of interest to them.”
Deborah Bissett who has worked for Barclays for 32 years will manage the Northfield branch whilst Kings Heath and Moseley branches will be led by Antonia Saunders.
Shabir Jivraj will have responsibility for the Cape Hill branch, Peter Webb will manage the Maypole branch and Knowle in Solihull will come under Sarah Turner.
Commenting on the appointments, regional director Richard Smalley said: “I am delighted to see promotions within the organisation and for our staff to be given the opportunity to further develop their careers.
“I am confident that I have a good team here in Birmingham who will ensure will deliver a high level of service to our customers.”
These latest appointments come on the back of the bank’s decision to open a new flagship branch in central Birmingham.
The High Street bank opened last month and Barclays has organised an official opening ceremony including the ‘Barclays Live’ dance competition with Brendan Cole this Saturday.
