BIRMINGHAM-based recruitment consultancy Pitch scooped a top prize at an annual award scheme. The Digbeth firm was named best marketing recruitment agency of the year at the MiAwards. The scheme aims to recognise the best in marketing, media and communications agencies across the UK, with judges looking for evidence of exceptional performance, innovative thinking and outstanding client service. Director Ollie Purdom said: “The awards were voted for by renowned experts in the marketing sector so we’re absolutely delighted that our dedication to the sector seems to be paying off. Since we set up back in 2007, we’ve been committed to innovating within our market. We’re also committed to developing the talent of tomorrow and our B-Hive scheme has already seen numerous students go on to secure permanent roles following as a direct result of their involvement.”
Fresh new recruit
THE Birmingham office of PR agency Freshwater has recruited Adrian Marklew to head up its Midlands operation as an account director. He has 20 years of experience and will lead the firm’s PR and marketing communications services. Its clients include housing and care associations, commercial property developers and the West Midlands International Innovation Centre.
New faces at TAMBA
TAMBA, the Staffordshire viral, social media and digital marketing agency, has appointed a quartet of new recruits to its base in Burntwood. New account handlers, Louise Hewitt and Grace Mills, will work across a broad range of clients, while developer Tom Malloy will focus on the creation of mobile apps and games. Making up the new recruits is Chris Emms who is a web development specialist.
