Cobbetts does the knowledge to build HR offering

THE Birmingham employment team at law firm Cobbetts has joined forces with a group of human resources specialists to launch a specialist HR consultancy.

The launch of OneKnowledge comes as the Government prepares to introduce a major package of new employment legislation as part of its Red Tape Challenge – a wide-ranging deregulation drive aimed at reducing bureaucracy for employers.

Cobbetts’ new venture is aimed at providing businesses and public and third sector organisations with a blend of HR best practice and legal risk management.

It brings together a set of HR associates from across the private and public sectors with the most experienced employment partners from Cobbetts.
They include Ashley Norman, the firm’s Birmingham-based partner and head of employment. Norman has a great deal of experience in dealing with the public and higher education sectors.

He said: “OneKnowledge perfectly complements our employment law offering by providing a one stop shop for clients.  Feedback from clients so far has been very promising.”
