Wakemans appointed on Tamworth industrial development

PROPERTY and construction consultancy Wakemans has been appointed on a multi-million pound industrial development in Tamworth.

The project is an extension to the Centurion Park development developed by Birmingham-based developer St. Modwen.

Two new buildings have been given planning permission and the first unit is a 52,816 sq. ft. industrial unit which will be developed with associated roadworks for access including a new bridge.

A second 153,007 sq. ft. unit is planned as a further development.

Wakemans is providing employer’s agent, quantity surveying and CDM consultant services for the project.

The two new units will create employment opportunities for light industrial, storage and distribution industries at the park.

The original park was completed by St. Modwen in 1994. It is owned by multiple freeholders and fully let.

The main contractor is GF Tomlinson & Sons.
