Midshire appoint new regional sales manager

OFFICE technology sales and service provider Midshire has appointed telecoms industry specialist Andrew Moules as regional sales manager.

Moules spent the past six years with industry heavyweight Samsung.

His knowledge of Samsung products will help Midshire to cement its status of Samsung Platinum Business Partner.

Midshire managing director Jim Callaghan said: “Having already worked with Andy extensively in his previous role, I have no doubt that his skill set and expertise will be beneficial to both our customers and the team here at Midshire.”

In his new role, Moules will be tasked with heading up the Midlands telecoms sales division.

He said: “Midshire’s strength in providing a first class service on a wide range of technology products is something that is driving considerable growth and I’m confident that there is lots more to come in the future.”

The Midshire Group was established 26 years ago with just three employees and today employs 244 staff across its four regional offices, which include West Bromwich.

Rant & Rave announce new chief operating officer

CUSTOMER engagement technology firm Rant & Rave has appointed Andrew Keen as chief operating officer (COO). 
 
Keen, previously VP revenue operations & strategy at Huddle, will spearhead the execution of Rant & Rave’s growth strategy, focusing on accelerating market penetration and international expansion.
 
With more than 20 years of sales, operations and management experience, gained in international roles for global organisations such as Siemens and Amdocs, Keen’s appointment marks a significant investment in expansion for Rant & Rave, which is based at the University of Warwick Science park in Coventry.
 
He said, “Rant & Rave are at the forefront of a transformation that is redefining how organisations interact with their customers and differentiate themselves from their competition.

Brockway’s sales office expands

KIDDERMINSTER-based Brockway Carpets has expanded its sales office with the appointment of Carol McGonigle as sales office supervisor.

McGonigle is a familiar name in the carpet trade, having worked in the industry for many years. 

She joins from Victoria Carpets, having previously worked at other carpet manufacturers.

McGonigle is the latest addition to the ten-strong sales and accounts office at Brockway Carpets, which has also recruited Olivia Perks as an office apprentice.

Sales director Shaun Lewis said:  “We’re enjoying a good sales year with the relaunch of our fabulous new carpet portfolio and we’re delighted to welcome Carol, she complements our team perfectly.”

Argus Fire looks internally for its new vice-chairman

STOURBRIDGE-based fire protection and detection specialist Argus Fire

has promoted Simon Woodings to vice chairman.

In the role Woodings will help provide executive leadership for the 33-year-old company as it aims to expand its business.

He has been a non-executive director of Argus Fire since 2006. Prior to joining the executive board, he was also senior partner at law firm Beswicks where he specialised in corporate and commercial law.

Woodings said: “Argus Fire’s outstanding design and project management skills combined with extensive expertise have made us the fire protection contractor of choice for national and international projects and we now aim to build on that success by growing the business.

“I am delighted to join the team and have the opportunity to play such a major role within an already well-run and successful company.”
