Santa Claus skates back into Telford
IT IS time to get your skates on as Santa Claus is returning to Telford for another year of Santa Skate at the ice rink.
For the second year, the hugely popular Santa Skate sessions will be taking place, allowing youngsters not only to meet Santa but to skate around the ice with him too.
A photographer will be on hand to capture the magical experience as well as a resident DJ who will be bringing the Christmas spirit to the ice rink with festive classics and chart hits.
Cabinet member for Housing, Leisure and Health Cllr Richard Overton said: “Santa Skate was such a popular event last year that this year we have brought it back and put additional sessions on to allow lots more young people to meet and skate with Santa and make some magical memories.
“What better way to prepare for the big day than to dig out your gloves, hats and scarves and get to the “coolest” indoor venue in the borough for some wintry festive fun.”
The big man himself will be at the ice rink throughout December, making his first appearance on Saturday December 3.
